Colin Gray, the 55-year-old father of a Georgia school shooter, received a 15-year prison sentence for his role in enabling the 2024 attack at Apalachee High School that killed four people. His 16-year-old son Colt used an AR-style rifle that Colin had given him as a Christmas gift, despite the boy having been previously questioned by police about threats to commit a school shooting. This case represents only the third time in US history that a parent has been held criminally responsible for a mass shooting committed by their child.
